Dear Brenda: When we decided to make our move in 2003, we had lived for 49 years of our married life in one home and, like many others, were pack rats. Our realtor suggested when to put the house on the market so we could maximize the value of the house. This is when we called you to help us with what we thought was an onerous project. You explained what the realtor wanted to see, and through your knowledge and caring for our situation, you saw to it that the compatible furniture stayed and was re-arranged to make our home more appealing for viewing, the correct renovations were made within the budget we had set aside to enhance our home’s market value, removed our art collection to a safe place, helped Dot decide what clutter was worth keeping and re-arranged our basement so that it was presentable. We called our realtor to advise we were ready to put our home on the market, and after she inspected the house, she complimented us on the presentation of our home. The house was listed, and after a one-day viewing by her Real Estate Company and a one-day viewing by other realtors, the house was sold for very close to the asking price.
